Our Story
Briarwood originated from the first owners dog whose name was Briar who loved being in the countryside and among the woods thus Briarwood was formed.
In the beginning of 2023, the previous owners Toni and Dave Muir sold to Joanne Muir and her Partner Stu, (Same surname but no relation coincidentally!)
Joanne was no stranger to events having her own sweet cart and Teepee hire company. Jo attended events and weddings however Jo wanted to expand her horizons and that's when she found briarwood and here we are today!
Jo has her level one qualification in wedding planning and is currently working towards level 2 in all other events as well as an accredited course with the Balloon Training company!

Briarwood is rapidly expanding and we now also cater for all events, not just weddings! Engagements, birthday parties, children's parties, christenings, you name it - we can do it!
We have been featured in two editions of Yorkshire Bride and Living North Weddings and are recommended suppliers for many venues across North Yorkshire and County Durham.
